Complementing the core mechanical workshop, Officina Diesel offers carpentry, piping and sandblasting services within its facilities.
Carpentry
The service offering includes, but is not limited to :
- Equipment foundations, such as engine, motor, windlass etc
- Reinforced shell plating / inserts
- Tank plating and internal structure renewal
- Steel repairs on cranes structures, side doors and cargo hatch covers
The job is done by certified welders and class approved welding procedure using electrode, TIG, MIG, for steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Non-destructive testing is provided on demand.
Piping
Officine Diesel provides repair and renewals of piping of every size and material, including manufacturing and supply of back steel, inox, galvanised steel, cupronickel , copper, and press fitting in inox and cunifer. Lines are deburred as required .
Sand Blasting and peening plant
The service offering with own tools includes:
Sand Blasting
- lapping, polishing and cleaning treatments
- deoxygenation, deburring. Calcium scale, soot, carbon residue and welding residue removals
- paint and rubber layers removal. Delayering of chrome, nickel, cadmium , zinc, tin surfaces
- pickling, brushing, grinding and surface preparation to metallize the surface
Peening
- Surface treatment to requested roughness.
